Bocca Buona Riga

Park Inn by Radisson Valdemara Riga, Latvia

Modern Italian feel

Background and brief

Bocca Buona is situated at the entrance floor of new Park Inn hotel in Riga with glass façade overlooking the main avenue leading from the airport to the city center. This pivotal location was to be the key to the brief for developing a trademark that would attract both tourists and citizens to the place.

Our Solution

A series of smaller zones are created within the larger space of the restaurant, tagged with specific Italian names to bring a typical ambience in each area. A key design feature includes communal tables behind the main façade with logo signage that encourage guests to enter and enjoy Italian flavours.

A Show bar is situated at the entrance, connected to the lobby and visible from the street, giving an illuminated background in the evenings. The Wine cellar and Alimentari shelving display a selection of Italian products, wines, beers and a signature grappa, with the service staff clearly on show and performing.

The space gives opportunity for guests to dine while watching the chef preparing pizza behind a Show kitchen counter on the other side of the restaurant.

To ensure the overall experience is responsive to Riga’s dining culture, a number of brand items were given a subtle twist to add an increased focus on comfort and refinement, unique to the location.

Reinterpreted elements of a typical Italian restaurant are visible throughout the space with a range of decorative items and vintage lighting features reinforcing the modern reinterpretation of a classical Italian feel.
